I have to admit, when I was asked to compare my main characters to princesses, I was stumped for a moment. I write independent, sometimes wildly weird women, so this was a bit of a challenge because the first thing that popped into my head was the Disney princesses. I love Disney, but up until Brave, their princesses were decidedly the damsels in distress and not the ass-kicking heroines we're beginning to see (Yay Disney!) So, without further ado, my little Katie, the main character in Plotting Mr. Perfect is probably best represented by Merida from Brave.

The Princess from Enchanted, because she is so happy and positive?

DeleteWow. I'm not sure. I love them all for so many different reasons. I think I kind of admire Princess Jasmine because she had a great little streak of defiance in her. Plus, she had a really cool pet tiger ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day everyone!

ReplyDeletePrincess Kate shes fab. cherry203@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeletePrincess Anne played by Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. For once she wants to go off and be a regular young woman and not the dutiful princess taking care of diplomatic niceties for her country. So she runs away one evening for adventure and has herself one.
ReplyDeleteI guess Princess Kate because she seems really down to Earth and kind.

My favorite is Belle, I love her attitude and how she didnt take people at face value. She looked beneath the skin. She enjoys books, doesnt conform to others, and loved fiercely, especially where her father was concerned! Thank you!
